The post introducing myself on my blog
Apparently I did not fulfill one of the requirements of my class blog assignment. So this is a short introduction of myself on my blog.
Hello to everyone in the class. My name is Marvin Gasapos and I am originally from Los Angeles, CA. After high school graduating in 1998, I enlisted in the Air Force, which to this day is the best decision I have made in my life. Since joining the Air Force in December 1998, I started basic training in Lackland, TX for a month and a half, then to Keesler, MS for 9 months for technical school training. My first duty station was Hurlburt Field, FL where I was stationed for 5 years. During my tour in FL I was fortunate enough to travel to most of the states in the south and east coast, as well as deployments to the Middle East to include Iraq, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kuwait, Jordan, and Qatar. Then I was assigned to Mz-Kastel Station, Germany from Nov 04 to Sept 08 where I separated from the military. I spent the rest of my terminal leave, which is leave that you did not use while in active duty and you get to use it at the end of your enlistment. So I went back home to Los Angeles, CA where I stayed until Dec 08. My original work title in the military is a Computer Maintenance, Networking, Cryptologic, and Switching Systems Technician which now evolved in to Network Infrastructure. Basically I work with anything that deals with electronic equipment and communications. I like my job and cherish every experience I get whether it is good or bad, easy or hard. I graduated with a B.S in Computer Science from Troy State University - Florida Region, which most the classes I took online because of my changing and unpredictable schedule. I also have an MBA from University of Phoenix. The reason why I left an awesome career in the military was that I found a mission that I really loved doing while stationed in Germany, and I wanted to keep on doing that mission. So with inside help from the people I used to work with while in the military I started working as a Network Engineer in Maryland starting in Jan 09. I relocated to Maryland and have been doing my job until now. As with everything new, I had to get used to living in Maryland and learning my job, but now I can say I have adjusted very well and am happy with my current situation.

Oregon Ducks is #3 in the BCS rankings
The next two weeks will be crucial for my LA teams as Oregon will be playing UCLA and USC the next two weeks. If Oregon makes it through the next two weeks I believe they should be #1 in all the 3 major polls. I was hoping USC was going to be good this year but the PAC-10 is such a tough conference this year. It's an exciting time for College Football right now.

Went to see Social Networking this weekend
I was excited to see the movie Social Networking this weekend. For the people that have not heard about it, it's suppose to be an non-fictional depiction of how Facebook was created.
I really like the movie and found it to be interesting. I looked at the statistics on the Flixster App I had on my phone and the movie generated $22.4 million with 81% of the people liking the movie. This puts the movie as the #1 grossing movie this weekend.

Posting my Blog on the CE6 website
It's official, I have posted my blog on Los Angeles sports based teams on our class CE6 website, let the postings begin...
USC looses to Washington this weekend
Since my blog is all about my hometown Los Angeles sport teams, I figured I would pick an article from this website. I choose the article about the updated College Football Rankings this weekend. USC was previously ranked 18th in the country before the game this weekend with the University of Washington. Unfortunately USC lost with a last second field goal and the final score was Washington 32, USC 31. USC is now going to fall out of the Top 25 ranking and they need to climb back up in the following weeks by winning some games.
